The Municipality of Sotira supports the International Awareness and Awareness Day for Autism by part

The Municipality of Sotira supports the International Awareness and Awareness Day for Autism by participating in the Light it Up Blue campaign.

The Municipality of Sotira announces that today, Friday, April 2, 2021, in the context of the International Day of Awareness and Awareness for Autism, it participates in the global information campaign Light it Up Blue, illuminating the City Hall building in blue.

The purpose of the enlightenment is to raise awareness of the whole society about the difficulties faced by people on the autism spectrum, and their families, and the need for continuous support, education and care.

The simple lighting event was attended by the President of the Famagusta Autism Support Famagusta Association, Chriso Prodromou as well as Loizos Loizou on behalf of Run For Autism Famagusta and parents whom the Mayor congratulated for their enviable effort to sensitize and give daily to children with autism.

As stated by Mr. George Takkas, the Municipality of Sotiras is particularly sensitive to issues that have to do with the integration of all our fellow human beings in society and that the Municipality supports and will continue to support in every way the effort of the Autism Support Famagusta.
